I had the idea of bringing the amazing local artists we have in Seattle together to produce a free downloadable coloring book people could print at home as a way to shed some light in the community during the COVID-19 lockdown since I cannot make masks or be useful in that way. Helping keep arts alive while kids homeschool and adults are needing a release and art therapy more than ever. The response and feedback has been incredible and the artist contributions were far beyond what I could have imagined. Since launching, the outreach from other local artists wanting to submit new pages has lent itself perfectly to my expanded idea of turning this into a living, ever growing library of free art activities for the community- by the community. With a second batch of pages uploaded 2 weeks after launching, and the release of 4 print and color Mother’s Day cards- Stay Inside The Lines Seattle garnered over 1,000 downloads and 3.2K site visits in the first 30 days of being live.
